At Roan Ranch, we are dedicated to breeding Foundation Quarter Horses with heart and soul. Our goal is to preserve the original heritage of this special breed and to breed horses that not only captivate with their fascinating roan colors, but above all impress with their exceptional character. We believe in the targeted pairing of old, proven bloodlines such as Hancock and Poco Bueno. For generations, these lines have stood for robustness, correct conformation, and legendary “cow sense.” Our horses are characterized by a gentle nature, willingness to work, and natural coolness—ideal prerequisites for sport, leisure, or work as therapy horses. Growing up in a family environment A partner for life is built on trust. That is why we attach great importance to loving and species-appropriate rearing: Socialization: Our foals grow up in a herd with stallions, mares, and siblings in order to learn healthy social behavior. Imprinting: From the very first minute, humans are trusted partners. Halter training, trailer rides, and regular visits to the farrier are part of everyday life for our “babies.” Health: The best care, regular deworming, and even craniosacral treatments lay the foundation for a long, healthy horse life.
